Since 2008, we have developed proven expertise in the deployment and operation of different types of photovoltaic installations: ground-mounted solar structures with or without agricultural co-activity (livestock and field crops), agrivoltaic greenhouses, orchard or car park shades, and rooftops.

 

We offer a long-term partnership, with REDEN as your single point of contact throughout the project development, administrative procedures and the construction and maintenance of the photovoltaic sites.

SUPPORTING THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR BY COMBINING RENEWABLE ELECTRICITY PRODUCTION WITH AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION

What is agrivoltaics?

 

AGRIVOLTAICS consists of combining priority agriculture with secondary photovoltaic energy production, on the same surface area.

 

In France, the legal framework means that the solar energy production unit must make a lasting contribution to the establishment, preservation or development of agricultural production. It must provide at least one of the following services, guaranteeing the farmer a sustainable income:

 

  • improving the agronomic potential and impact of the farm plot
  • offering solutions to climate change
  • offering protection against climatic hazards
  • improving animal welfare

 

Since 2008, our vision of agrivoltaics has been along these lines, with our premise based on giving priority to agricultural production over the production of renewable energy. At REDEN, we are working to help maintain our farms and enable young people to take up farming as a career, while at the same time producing green electricity for local use.
